I wanted to create a short blog about joy, and how it is given from God as a blessing to receive the fruits that he has provided us with during our life on Earth. First, there is a type of joy that God asks us to have as we meet and go through our trials.
Romans 15:13
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
When we realize that joy comes in the ‘morning’, it is to encourage us that our troubles do not last always. We are blessed with so many things that can see to be invisible when we are in the midst of our trials and storms. God requires us to stay faithful to His Word during these times and hold on to them and they will surpass.
And then, we have another type of joy.
Luke 15:7
”Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
There is another type of joy that we don’t only feel once, but daily. When we finally learn about our sins and wrongdoings; and we realize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of our sins, we receive a feeling of conviction of understanding and then a feeling of joy. We feel a type of appreciation for Jesus and for God to give his only begotten Son. It makes us feel a type of love even stronger than parenthood here on Earth. To feel clean, ‘washed away’ from the old and made new. When we repent, we are serious with God about no reliving those sins. We understand that Jesus died for them but that we also have a standard from God to live by. Jesus knows our shortcomings - he walked this Earth with us. We will fall short each and every day, but there is JOY in the heavens when we repent.
I hope this gives you a clearer understanding of different types of joy. The earthly joy that I provide is when you find one of my collections that is your favorite. There is a joyfulness that is natural and organic when you see a color, pattern, or theme that makes your heart happy.
Thank you for reading my blog post. What brings you joy?
